In this tutorial, Cie Bracelet Montre explains how to choose the right size for your double-wrap watchband and how to easily attach it to your watch.

Follow these simple steps to enjoy a perfectly fitted and elegant strap, whether it’s a leather model, a classic style, or one with interchangeable buckles.

Steps for measuring the width of your watch and choosing your double-wrap strap

Step 1 – Measure the width of your watch

Use a ruler or measuring stick to measure, in millimeters:

  • The width between the lugs of your watch (where the strap attaches).
  • The width at the buckle, if you wish to keep your original buckle.

Step 2 – Measure the length of the strap

Measure separately:

  • The long strand: from the top of the strap to the tip.
  • The short end: from the top to the buckle (not including the buckle).

> In some cases, this information may already be noted on the back of the strap.

Step 3 – Remove the old strap

Using a Bergeon tool or a flathead screwdriver, hook the buckle and pry it toward you to remove it.
You can reuse your old buckles if they’re in good condition, or install the new ones that came with your bracelet.

Step 4 – Install the new double-wrap bracelet

  • Reattach your original buckles and clasp (or use the ones provided).
  • If your wristband has interchangeable buckles, simply press down on the buckle using the lever on the back to detach or attach the wristband to the case.
  • To reattach: insert the lug into the lower lug, then push it back using the tab to align it with the upper lug.

Step 5 – Enjoy your new style

Put on your double-wrap strap and enjoy its refined, timeless look!
This iconic model enhances both classic and contemporary watches.
